Who We Are
Thomas Ostendorf is the owner of South Dayton Properties LLC operating in and around the South Park Historic District in Dayton Ohio. For over 50 years he has been providing living accommodations to residents looking for something with the timeless character these Victorian homes provide.
Tom graduated from the University of Dayton in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree and bought his first investment property the same year. Tom had been working in construction part-time and eventually opened Ostendorf Construction Co. Over the next 15 years Tom would own and operate the construction company doing many additions, remodels, new construction, and restoration. The business specialized in restorations of Victorian homes and Tom developed a passion for architecture and an appreciation for craftsmanship. During this time, Tom was buying more houses and apartments In the South Park Historic District and The University of Dayton.
Eventually, the rental housing in the South Park neighborhood and UD developed into a full-time business and Tom turned his attention to South Dayton Properties completely. He has developed the business into what it is today, a family-owned and operated, real estate business offering Studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments in the Historic South Park District In Dayton Ohio.
Tom is continuing to grow the family business and renovate as needed to provide modern accommodations while making every effort to preserve the beauty of the Victorian apartments in the South Park Dayton Neighborhood.
